I had been camping in Bladensberg National Park with the band. It rained overnight and we were worried about getting stuck if it rained anymore. As we were preparing to leave another flash storm soaked the flats.
The road out was spotted with large pools. We made it through them and came to a causeway that crossed a flooded creek. The water was running strong and with all their gear in the bus the band didn't want to take the chance of getting washed away.
So we said our goodbyes and I continued on foot, across the causeway and on through the desert towards Winton, with a little help from Jim...
